OJ Simpson will be back in Las Vegas this morning to face arraignment on multiple charges of armed robbery, kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, amongst other criminal charges. Last September, Simpson burst into a Vegas hotel room, with two men carrying guns. according to police. Simpson then took items from two sports collectable dealers. Las Vegas police and the DA say it was all a crime.

Simpson is expected to plead not guilty at today's arraignment, which should take place rather quickly. Although nothing in this case to date can be called routine and quick so far. The preliminary hearing with Simpson and two co-defendants went on for nearly 3 1/2 days before the judge ordered Simpson to stand trial. OJ Simpson’s lead attorney Yale Galanter told the AP yesterday, he expected the trial to be delayed until "sometime next year".

TRIAL DELAY UNTIL LATER NEXT YEAR WILL GIVE
OJ LEAD LAWYER YALE GALANTER MORE TIME TO ENJOY
HIS NEW 3-MILLION DOLLAR ASPEN SKI CONDO!

In the meantime, ERS has discovered that Simpson lead attorney Yale Galanter should have plenty of time to enjoy his new 3-million dollar plus ski condo he purchased with his wife last summer in Aspen. The condo is similar to the one shown below and is located in the same luxury condo complex located near the Aspen slopes.

Multi-Million dollar "Obermeyer Place" Ski Condo similar to lawyers Yale Galanter's in Aspen, CO

Galanter, according to an appearance on CNN’s Nancy Grace earlier this year, is in Aspen on regular occasion in winter to hone his skiing skills on the slopes of the posh Colorado ski town.

ERS would really like to know if the no nonsense, highly respected, tough as nails defense lawyer Galanter can tackle turns on a black diamond run as well as he does in a courtroom. We have a 'reporters hunch' he probably can! Although ERS would love to compare our "s-turns" with Yale Galanter, if he would ever return our interview requests, we prefer Park City/Deer Valley, Utah over Aspen -- for the record.

As for the Simpson in Vegas trial to come, ERS News will just have to wait and see what happens.

OJ Simpson friend Walter Alexander has just testified on the stand under oath, that he and Michael McClinton, the man police say supplied the guns used in the OJ armed robbery case wanted to videotape the incident.

In order to do so, they paid a visit to a local "spy shop" in Las Vegas. ERS has learned that spy shop was the "Fox Spy Shop" at 2055 E. Tropicana Ave. in Las Vegas. A picture of the store is below.

When reached for comment by ERS today (11/13/07), a manager refused to comment as to whether he had been contacted by Las Vegas Police and refused to confirm or deny that the two men had visited the shop as Alexander testified they did.

ERS News has learned that Michael F. McClinton, the man who, according to authorities, supplied the guns used in the armed robbery in Las Vegas involving OJ Simpson, will testify that he carried and provided guns at the request and insistence of OJ Simpson, based on sources close to the case. McClinton has agree to pleaded guilty to lesser charges in exchange for testifying against OJ Simpson and others in the case.

McClinton, the man seen above in the suit in surveillance photos take from hotel a security camera on the day of the incident, has claimed, via his lawyer that he works as a security guard. McClinton’s lawyer refused to comment to ERS on the past criminal record of McClinton uncovered by ERS and previous statements by his lawyer that McClinton worked in some capacity as a security guard. According to the agency which licenses security guards in Nevada, McClinton has no record of being licensed as a security guard in the state.

McClinton did have a concealed weapons permit when Las Vegas Police raided his home. Two hand guns, matching the ones used in the alleged armed robbery were seized by Las Vegas Police in a search warrant executed on McClinton’s house shortly after the robbery of two memorabilia dealers by Simpson, McClinton and others at the Palace Station Hotel. What McClinton was using his guns and the permit for is anybody's guess. An additional "assault rifle" was also seized by Las Vegas Police from McClinton.

McClinton, who's past includes a previous criminal case involving a firearm, where the charges were later dropped, also had arrest warrants issued for him in the past for not showing up on traffic related matters. According to other published reports has also had other criminal run-ins with the law.

ERS News has uncovered what could be a bad omen of possible things to come for another more well known OJ Simpson, that one being the famous former NFL hall of famer and probably the most infamous former double homicide suspect in American History.

In an amazing twist of fate, among the criminal records of Clark County Nevada and the Nevada State Prison system there was once another OJ Simpson who used a gun to commit armed robbery in Las Vegas. It all happened only last year, shortly before the more famous OJ came to town and got himself in a heap of trouble.

Another Orenthal J. Simpson, who is also an African American male, but a lot younger (born in 1977) according to records reviewed by ERS News. The second give away is this Simpson, tipped the scales at over 300 pounds according to Nevada prison records. The elder Simpson was well into his NFL football career in 1977. It was his final season with the Buffalo Bills, after an injury. Simpson was later traded to the San Francisco 49ers where he played until his career in the NFL ended in 1979.

The world famous OJ faces a preliminary hearing on Thursday (11/8/08) on multiple charges in the case stemming from his entering a Las Vegas hotel room last month and robbing two sports collectible dealers. The Las Vegas police say the men with Simpson had guns.

Now OJ Simpson, the one we all know from his famous and infamous past, is the second OJ Simpson to be charged with armed robbery in Nevada. We'll just have to wait and see how his case turns out. Let the media circus begin! or should we say, continue? It's never actually stopped as far as ERS News can tell.

ERS News has learned that Michael F. McClinton, the man who, along with OJ Simpson, is charged with a multitude of crimes by the District Attorney for the armed robbery of memorabilia dealers Alfred Beardsley and Bruce Fromong in Las Vegas last month, has previous problems with the law and with his possession of firearms.

The Enterprise Report has exclusively learned that McClinton was previously charged in a case in 1985 with possessing stolen property, which was a firearm. The case was dismissed according to court records because of the lack of evidence.

McClinton's house was searched by Las Vega Police on September 16th this year in the early morning, after the incident at the Palace Station Hotel involving OJ Simpson. In the search, Las Vegas Police recovered 3 weapons, according to the police report; a Beretta .22 caliber handgun, a Ruger .45 caliber handgun and an unnamed "Assault Rifle." Las Vegas Police say they also found a Concealed Weapons Permit in McClinton's name.

report

What police haven't said is whether or not those weapons were registered to McClinton as required in Las Vegas. ERS News sought comment on that issue from LVPD, but they refused to comment on that aspect of the case in time for this story. In addition, under Nevada law in Las Vegas, it's against the law to transfer a weapon to anyone without the firearm being registered to the new owner. According to security sources at the Palace Station Hotel, the mere fact of carrying those weapons on the private property of the hotel was a violation of the Hotel's security policy, which in Nevada makes it illegal, even with a concealed weapon Permit such as McClinton's.

McClinton has also been in trouble related to his driving record. Two cases in July of 2005 had McClinton being wanted on arrest warrants for failing to appear for driving without a valid license and other related matters. McClinton ultimately was convicted and paid fines.

ERS News attempted to reach McClinton's attorney Bill Terry in Las Vegas to comment on our report, but our calls were not returned.

Another key suspect in the Simpson case Walter Alexander, has previously told Las Vegas police that OJ Simpson wanted others involved in the incident to carry guns, and that the gun he carried into the hotel room was given to him by McClinton.

Alexander, has already cut a deal to plead guilty to lesser charges in exchange for his testimony against Simpson and others. He is expected to plead guilty tomorrow (10/23) in Las Vegas according to the Los Angeles office of attorney Robert Rentzer.

Michael McClinton also has an upcoming hearing based on a motion this Wednesday (10/24) according to court records reviewed by ERS News. OJ Simpson and his lawyer Gabriel Grasso also have a motion set to be heard at the same hearing. Both OJ Simpson and McClinton's preliminary hearings are set for November 8th in Las Vegas.

The case against OJ Simpson in the Las Vegas armed robbery just got a lot more interesting. One of the five men, Charles H. Cashmore, charged with accompanying Simpson into a Palace Station hotel room and participating in the alleged robbery, pleaded guilty this morning (Monday 10/15) to a lesser charge in exchange for testimony against Simpson and the others involved in the case. Cashmore is expected to be sentenced later this month.

Simpson and the five other men are charged with various offenses related to what local law enforcement is saying was armed robbery of memorabilia collectors Alfred Beardsley and Bruce Fromong last month.

oj complaint

Simpson and the other defendants, all of whom have been released on bail, are scheduled to return to Las Vegas later to face the charges themselves. Simpson's preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 8th according to the court hearing schedule reviewed by ERS News.

Cashmore plead guilty to a lesser charged related to the robbery in exchange for his testimony that the only two men with weapons in the room were Simpson's friends. Cashmore claims he was not armed and had no idea the other men were, until he saw the weapons pulled inside the room in the course of the incident.

booking

Cashmore, who has lived in the Las Vegas off and on for a nearly 15 years, is originally from Montana, where his father is an attorney. Cashmore has lived in Billings and Bozeman Montana, Louisiana, and overseas in Costa Rica according to published reports.

OJ's ROLEX TO BE TURNED OVER TO GOLDMAN FAMILY TOMORROW IN LA

(October1th, 2007 2:00PM PST)

BY ERIC LONGABARDI

ERS News has learned that a Rolex "Sub Mariner" watch owned by OJ Simpson will be turned over today at 11:30A here in Los Angeles by Simpson attorney Ronald Slate. Fred Goldman's attorney David J. Cook will be there to take possession of it at Slate's downtown Los Angeles offices.

The value of the watch is anybody's guess, but without the OJ Simpson related notoriety its worth about 5K according to the going rate. On Ebay or elsewhere who knows what it could fetch! The watch was ordered turned over by an LA Superior Court little over a week ago. Goldman's attorneys filed the LA civil judgment against Simpson in Florida Court earlier this year.

You can see that document here

The "tab" OJ owes the Goldman family will be reduced by the value of this watch. "It ain't much" as they say, but when it comes to collecting judgments, somethingis always better than nothing!

ERS News has obtained this photo of OJ Simpson with former legendary FBI director J. Edgar Hoover. The photo was taken according to FBI Historian John Fox sometime in late 1967 or early 1968. At the time, Simpson was an All-American tailback at the University of Southern California (USC) The other player in the photo is believed to be Ron Yary another USC All-American. Yary shared All American honors with Simpson in 1967, according to the AFCA (American Football College Assoc.)

According FBI historian Fox, the photo was taken after a tour of the FBI by the two football standouts at the time. Fox told ERS "The picture is similar to hundreds of other such shots taken and signed for VIP guests who toured the FBI and met with the Director."

The photo was one many OJ memorabilia items involved in the recent Las Vegas incident where OJ Simpson has been charged with attempted robbery, among other charges.

ERS News had obtained this photo from the California Dept of Corrections, of Thomas J. Riccio, the OJ "memorabilia dealer".

Riccio, who was sentenced to state prison in relation to a previous arson case out of Orange County, CA. Riccio claims he is the person who lured two unsuspecting OJ "collectible" sellers Alfred Beardsley and Bruce Fromong into a Las Vegas hotel room. Riccio set up the now infamous "armed robbery"which took place that OJ Simpson was arrested for and now stands accused of participating in.

Beardsley (as seen below) as well, has previously spent time in California's State Prison system. His case related to a stalking case in Riverside County, outside of Los Angeles.

“OJ COLLECTOR” ALFRED BEARDSLEY IN VEGAS HOTEL ROOM

(September 14th, 2007 5:00PM PST)

BY ERIC LONGABARDI

Las Vegas police have named OJ Simpson as a suspect in an alleged armed robbery which took place last night.

The incident, according to police had Simpson and an undetermined number other men entering a Palace Station hotel room demanding various Simpson related memorabilia items be given back to Simpson.

Alfred Beardsley, the collector of Simpson memorabilia who was in the room at the time according to published reports, was in possession of the Simpson related items, he told police that some of the men had weapons. The men, including Simpson then took the items. Police reported they are still seeking the men who accompanied Simpson into the room, but their whereabouts are still unknown. Some of the items taken were recovered according to police, other are still being sought. Las Vegas police today said their investigation is in its “infancy” and that although Simpson was questioned by detectives, he was cooperating with police and was not arrested and is free to leave Las Vegas if he so chooses.

ERS News can report exclusively that Beardlsey, a well known player in the Simpson saga has previously been ordered by a LA Superior court to turn over Simpson collectibles in his possession to Fred Goldman’s attorneys. The order to do so was to help satisfy the 33.5 million dollar civil judgment Simpson was ordered to pay when he was found liable for the wrongful death of Simpson’s ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. Peter Csato, the Los Angleles attorney in that case, when contacted by ERS today refused comment on the case. Another player in the incident is Thomas Riccio, a man who according to Las Vegas FOX TV station KVVU was in the room at the time of the incident. Riccio is a well known dealer of collectibles based in Southern California. Riccio has a long past association with Simpson and in the sports collectible business, even promoting autograph sessions by Simpson in recent years, like this one in Los Angeles in 2004.
